A Little Street in Amritsar

Day 3

I woke up way too early this Sunday morning, still bursting with excitement and ideas. Still sort of dazed, half awake, it comes to me. Not Kuri Post, I don’t want to copy Huff, plus my site isn’t a news site.

My mind (not so) randomly goes to Kurichhan di Gullie – a little street in Amritsar, India, where my dad was born. The street was given the Kurichh name because my ancestors owned all the property on that street, and lived in those homes. Translated, Kurichhan di Gullie literally means Kurichh Lane.

Kuri Lane. OMG!!! Perfect!

Now my mind is flying at warp speed. Tag line: Embrace Your Journey. It’s a lane, a road motif, and it IS a journey that I’m writing about. All the ideas start flooding in. I can use this motif to create my brand and customize my site.

Monday can’t come fast enough. I want to get the new domain and get going. FAST!

I spent a lot of the day trying to create a personalized look for the site. Now I need a header image to signify my brand.

As I get ready for bed, I read up on what makes for a good header image, and how to stand out from the crowd. I download a few dozen journey / road themed images to try out tomorrow to see what works.

Love, love, love!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
