Divine You

Day 66

There’s something about the open road that gets ideas flowing in a way that feels like they’re Divine Inspiration just flowing through me, because I don’t have thoughts like that any other time.

Synchronicity, as you know by now, is a sign from the Universe that your energy is flowing, your thoughts are in line with your desires, and they’re manifesting. Yesterday, I wrote the post about how your own personal brand of crazy is your unique expression and gift to share with the world, and I had listed Steve Jobs and Socrates as two examples, and then I saw this poster on social media.

Right now, after I wrote the first paragraph, I went online to search for quotes on Divine Inspiration and to my surprise, I found a wiki page on Divine Inspiration, saying “it was described by Socrates as a form of madness.” Whoa.

What I was going to write next, as part of the first paragraph was what I thought of on my drive today. I had an idea out of nowhere – these words flashed through my mind “if you do, others will too“, and then I thought, if you love yourself, others will too. It’s not a new idea – we’ve all heard that you have to love yourself before anyone else can love you.

I thought about how so many of us look outside of ourselves to validate our thoughts, our feelings, our self-worth and our purpose. The thing is, all of that has to come from within. When you really feel it from within, not only do you attract people who love you, believe in you, and support you, but they are also inspired to look within to find their own strength.

If you love yourself, you don’t need affirmation from anyone else, and that’s precisely when you get it.

The thoughts were just pouring out, and I had the idea to  create a series of affirmation cards to spread that message. So, as soon as I got home, I started creating my affirmation cards.

I woke up this morning doubting myself, yes, I get the irony. I wasn’t sure if people would understand the message I’m conveying with the cards – that change begins within, that you are the only one who can give you everything you want, and you CAN give yourself everything you want. Right then, I came across the Divine Inspiration wiki page. To me, that was the Universe telling me, no shouting to me “You Got The Message Loud and Clear, Go With It!“

Ok, Universe, here we go. My desire is that my affirmation series will inspire you to embrace your journey, to look within to find the answers, the strength, the courage and the hope to be your best self, and as your light shines bright, you will attract and inspire others to see the real you, the Divine You, and to do the same.
