Roll With The Punches

I heard a great inspirational story this morning. A friend’s husband took down a squirrel’s nest from a tree in their backyard thinking that it was old. To his dismay, he found five newborn, little pink babes still in the nest. Mamma squirrel was nowhere in sight. My friend was hysterical with worry for the little ones, and in a hurry to figure out what to do to save the little babies. Her daughter had the great idea to wedge a box into the tree where the nest had been. They left the nest, babes still intact, at the foot of the tree hoping that they would be ok. Thankfully, mamma came back soon enough, discovered her offspring in the nest on the ground, and carried them one-by-one in her mouth, up to the safety of the box high in the tree. The babes are now comfortable and taken care of with mamma. 🙂

As I’ve said before, we can learn a lot from nature, and our furry friends. Mamma squirrel didn’t give up. Her natural instinct was to take the potentially threatening situation in stride, and she quickly looked for an alternate solution. The universe had one ready and waiting.

When you keep a positive attitude, and have faith that every obstacle you encounter has a resolution, the Universe will always provide the answer.

Next time you are faced with an obstacle, look in a different direction for a solution, I’m sure you’ll find a “box” that fits your needs perfectly.
