The Kingdom Within

Day 105

“There is no illusion greater than fear.”

– Lao Tzu

You know how when you need to make a decision about something, you ask those close to you for their opinion? You didn’t ask them because you needed help figuring out what to do, you asked because you were afraid to listen to your own voice, you were looking for validation, even though you already knew what was right for you.

Seeking validation of our feelings is human nature. We find strength and comfort when our thoughts and feelings are supported. I’ve noticed lately that the internet is inundated with sites and messages about positivity, self empowerment and inspirational encouragement. What’s most interesting is that all the sites are thriving because people are craving more positivity in their lives. Our priorities are changing, we’re coming out of the fog; we’re more focused on pursuing our passions and living a life full of joy. We’re looking for strength, comfort, and support; for someone to validate our changing thoughts and beliefs.

As I was trying to formulate my thoughts on this observation, I came across a seminar, where the speaker mentioned Helena Petrofina Blavatsky (July 31, 1831 – May 8, 1891), a woman who made predictions about the times were are currently living in. She predicted that there would be a spiritual awakening, and that our teachers would be every day people – school teachers, clerks, accountants, writers, bloggers – ordinary people from every walk of life spreading the message to awaken and realize the power within us. Synchronicity.

It made me think of a quote by Marianne Williamson about our greatest fears that I’m sure you’ve heard before. Her message speaks volumes. It inspires us to awaken to our greatest selves, to find The Kingdom Within.

Here is her powerful message, soak it in.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves:

Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Leave the illusion of fear behind, and help liberate the world around you.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
