Day 106

“If you so choose, even the unexpected setbacks can bring new and positive possibilities. If you so choose, you can find value and fulfillment in every circumstance.”

– Ralph Marston

As I catch up on the backlog of posts for the last few days, I’m letting the Universe guide me with the intention that whatever I’m inspired to write will flow through me with ease. I’ve definitely been focused on inspiring the crap out of you, literally, to get rid of the crap, and to propel you into action to create a life of abundant joy for yourselves.

I’ve had a blank post sitting in my draft posts for about a month now, with the title of this post and nothing else. I had a thought at the time that went with the title, but it didn’t pan out so I never posted it. I liked the title, so I kept it as a placeholder to use sometime. I just looked through my draft posts and found it, and decided to write a fitting post.

I went online to search for an inspiring tomato story. Yes, really, I did. What was I thinking? What kind of inspirational story am I going to find about tomatoes?

A good one. I know that you can manifest whatever you want if you believe you have received it before you do, and I am certain that this is the title of today’s post, so I have no doubt I’ll write something fitting.

Not only did I find an inspiring story about tomatoes, it’s about not giving up, about finding the good in everything, about taking setbacks in stride. All the things I’ve been thinking and writing about. As if that weren’t enough, I found a picture of tomatoes that was completely in line with the style of feature images I’ve used for three of my last four posts. More synchronicity!

The Universe wants us to know that we are in good hands.

Prepare to be inspired by…tomatoes:

“A jobless man applied for the position of ‘office boy’ at a very big company.

The employer interviewed him, then a test: clean the floor.

“You are hired” the employer said. ”Give me your email address, and I’ll send you the application to fill out, as well as your start date.”

The man replied, “I don’t have a computer, nor an email address.”

“I’m sorry” said the employer, “if you don’t have email, you cannot have the job.”

The man left, feeling hopeless. He didn’t know what to do. All he had left was $10 in his pocket.

He decided to go to the supermarket, buy a 10 kilogram tomato crate, and sell the tomatoes door to door. In less than two hours, he succeeded and doubled his capital. He repeated the operation 2 more times and returned home with $60. The man realized that he could survive this way, and started to go earlier and return later everyday. His money doubled or tripled everyday. After a short time, he bought a cart, then a truck, and then he had his own fleet of delivery vehicles.

Five years later, the man’s company was one of the biggest food retailers in the country. He started to plan his family’s future, and decided to get life insurance. He called an insurance broker and chose a protection plan. When the conversation concluded, the broker asked him for his email address. The man replied: “I don’t have an email address.”

The broker asked curiously, “You don’t have email, and yet you have succeeded in building an empire. Can you imagine what position you could have if you had an email address?”

The man paused for a while, and replied: “An office boy!”

Don’t be discouraged if something is not in your favor today. Better opportunities are always waiting ahead.”

Welcome all experiences, you never which one will turn everything around for you. Let everything you experience inspire you and move you forward.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
