Magic

Day 140

“I am a great admirer of mystery and magic. Look at this life – all mystery and magic.”

– Houdini

Continuing with the theme of the posts from the last couple of days to refresh you on the steps to manifest your desires using the Law of Attraction, I remembered a Chuck Lorre vanity card I recently read that I thought was brilliant.

There’s synchronicity in this story too. The vanity card made me think of today’s blog beats. It’s a song that I absolutely love, and have in one of my most popular playlists. Don’t judge, I like it. The synchronicity comes in because my mother really liked the song I chose for blog beats of a post I wrote earlier this month. She brought it up a couple of days ago, and said that she didn’t know Katy Perry, but she remembers the bands and musicians we liked when we were kids. She mentioned the Bay City Rollers, and who talks about the BCR? No one. Another example of how our thoughts attract like experiences.

Believing is another ingredient that’s necessary to reach any goal you have. You must believe in yourself, you must believe you can manifest your desires, you must believe that you have the power to achieve anything you set your mind to, and you must believe in the Magic of the Universe.

Here’s a bit of magic to show you that the Universe always delivers. Thanks Chuck!

I have somehow stumbled onto a magic spell. It consists of three words that have changed my life for the better. And here, faithful vanity card reader, are those words:

I don’t know.

Now before you get upset by their unremarkable quality, their lack of faux Latin, Harry Potter mumbo jumbo-ness, I’d like you to try a little experiment. Say the following out loud:

“I don’t know what tomorrow will bring. I don’t know how long I will live. I don’t know how my smart phone works. I don’t know how my body works. I don’t know how pretty much anything works. I don’t know how we got here. I don’t know where we’re headed. I don’t know what I don’t know. I don’t know why I’m doing this, considering how unlikely it is that Chuck Lorre knows anything of consequence.”

Okay, well done! Now that we’ve established your lack of knowing, a vacuum of sorts has been created. And what do we all know about vacuums? Nature abhors them. So it stands to reason that something will rush in to fill that vacuum. And something does. I don’t know what it is. I just know it’s magic.

Life is full of mystery and magic. All you have to do is make room for it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
