Synchronicity

Day 159

“According to Vedanta, there are only two symptoms of enlightenment, just two indications that a transformation is taking place within you toward a higher consciousness. The second symptom is that you encounter more and more meaningful coincidences in your life, more and more synchronicities. And this accelerates to the point where you actually experience the miraculous.”

It’s no coincidence that I hit a block last week with my writing. At that point,  I had already started writing 3 posts, but I couldn’t find the right words to express my thoughts – at least that’s what I thought at the time. I decided to leave them for a while and come back once I had a chance to formulate my words better. In the meantime, I focused on finishing a book that I had started earlier in the week but hadn’t really spent a lot of time reading yet. A few more days went by before I got back to my writing, and I finished the book in the process.

Now I know there was a deliberate reason for the writer’s block – it was so I would finish The Celestine Prophecy. The book is written as an adventure set in Peru, where the main character is led to uncover a series of Divine Insights that transform his view of the Universe, and the role humans play in evolution. Although it’s written as a fiction work, the insights document the real spiritual awakening that many are beginning to experience. As I’ve said before, we are entering a period of social awakening, a heightened consciousness of Who We Really Are, and what we are doing here, and James Redfield has captured the progression brilliantly.

When I went back to finish the 3 posts that I felt were incomplete a week earlier, I realized that there was little I needed to change, and I was able to post them almost as they were. I couldn’t see that they were acceptable a week earlier because if I had, I would have kept writing my daily posts before I finished the book, and the math would’ve been off – I had to take a pause for the numbers to work out.

You see, June 19th is the 7 year anniversary of the day my dad left his physical form, and I’ve already started to write the post for that day, but I wanted the posts leading up to it to be somehow unique, special, and spiritual in nature, to match who he was, and honor his spirit.

Once I finished the book, I realized that The Celestine Insights were exactly what I wanted to share with you leading up to the 19th. I have no doubt that the Universe guided me to finish the book at that exact moment because the posts that I got stuck on were for June 4 – June 6, which leaves 12 days before June 19th. If I had continued to write posts per my daily schedule, I would have written past the 6th before I finished the book, and then I would no longer have 12 days before the 19th. I needed 12 days because there are 12 insights.

For the next 12 days, I will share one of these 12 insights with you daily. They have helped me to expand my understanding of Who We Really Are and what our purpose is, and I hope that they will also guide you on your spiritual journey, and help you to awaken to the truth of your Divinity, and your higher purpose as well.

I talk about synchronicity all the time, so much so that I can’t link to a previous post I’ve written, because I’d be referencing almost every one there is to-date. As you know, I believe that everything happens for a reason, and signs and synchronicities occur all the time to guide us on our paths. So, it’s no coincidence that The First Insight is about synchronicity, and how these seemingly random parallel occurrences in our lives are Divine in nature, and are intended to steer us towards our higher purpose.

It’s also no coincidence that as I begin this 12 day series gearing up to my dad’s memorial tribute that I coincidentally linked to a post about his teachings, and the feature image is of him too. I referenced the Generation Gap in the second paragraph because it’s the only post where I’ve mentioned the idea of a heightened social consciousness, even though it’s implicit in many posts. Hmm. Interesting.

Also not surprising, I stumbled into the perfect set of feature images for this series that are not only unique and special, but they represent my father – I normally look for a feature image near the beginning of my writing process, but today, I didn’t really know what I was going to write, so I randomly picked a placeholder from my existing database, which happens to be the first of 12 quotes from my dad that I am in the process of putting together for his tribute. Synchronicity on steroids.

The First Insight: Noticing Synchronicity

The secret is remembering, first thing in the morning, to watch for these magical Synchronistic moments.”

Redfield suggests that synchronicity is the “door to a cultural awakening.” As more and more people notice the coincidences in their lives, and start to realize that these occurrences are in fact a Divine guidance system rather than random acts, we will begin our journey as a society into the next stage of spiritual evolution.

If you haven’t started to recognize the seemingly random coincidences in your life, sharpen your awareness and take note, they are messages from the Universe, leading you to your dream life!

After note: I had to add a footnote to this post. I never use the same post title twice, and I always remember the titles I’ve used in the past – up until today. Just after I published this post, I noticed that the URL was showing a title duplicate. I did a search on my post titles to see if I had used the title before, which I totally didn’t remember I had, and I found that the other post with the same title was on Day 4, when I had just finalized my site name, and it was the post that I talked about my desire to keep my father’s legacy alive. That’s also the post that I first shared the image of the real Kurilane with you. I think that’s a definite sign, don’t you?
