Make It Count

Day 173

“As you keep your mind and heart focused in the right direction, approaching each day with faith and gratitude, I believe you will be empowered to live life to the fullest and enjoy the abundant life He has promised you!”

– Victoria Osteen

For most of this month, I’ve been focused on doing more of what I love, embracing my unique talents, and releasing what doesn’t serve me emotionally – which I believe will release the excess weight physically as well. The energy I’ve focused on these things has attracted the stories and lessons I’m sharing in today’s post; which tells me the Universe is working to manifest my desires.

Yesterday’s cosmic coincidence was on my mind when my cat Ippa woke me up for cuddles in the wee hours of the morning, and it got me thinking about nature’s magnificence and how much we can learn from animals.

“Any glimpse into the life of an animal quickens our own and makes it so much the larger and better in every way.”

– John Muir

When I got up a few hours later, there was an email in my inbox about a cat who’s conquering all the obstacles in his path so he can live a full and happy life. Synchronicity. Mac is a real inspiration – not only do animals enrich our lives, they teach us how to be our best selves.

As I was looking for more inspirational animal stories, I found a post about the lessons we can learn from animals – they remind us to enjoy life, to laugh, to let loose and have fun, to do what you love, and to go for it, no matter how crazy it seems.

“If you want to fly, you’ve got to let go of the things that weigh you down.”

– Toni Morrison

That got me thinking about being free and living in the moment, and then out-of-the-blue, the lyrics from an old song popped into my head: “we’re here for a good time, not a long time“. Not really thinking about the rest of the lyrics or who sang it, I had a good synchronous chuckle when I played the song and heard the lyrics “the sun is shining“. Divine Timing. Divine Guidance.

I was pleased to remember that the song is from a good ole’ Canadian band, and conjures up images of summer and fun. Enjoy!
