Don’t Sweat The Stuff

Day 200

“It is unwise to be too sure of one’s own wisdom. It is healthy to be reminded that the strongest might weaken and the wisest might err.”

– Mahatma Gandhi

Don’t Sweat The Stuff.

Big or small.

Unless it’s because you’re working out.

Otherwise, really, don’t sweat it.

We all make mistakes.

It’s OK to make mistakes. In fact, it’s desirable to make mistakes. It’s how we learn and grow. If you were to examine your “mistakes“, you will find that they were necessary in order to get to some of the wonderful experiences you’ve had in your life, and like I’ve said a million times, there are no mistakes, it’s all just experience.

I’m not alone, many believe that making mistakes is the path to becoming the best version of yourself, and moving on to the next step in your journey.

Here’s what a few of them have to say about making mistakes:

“Once you accept that we’re all imperfect, it’s the most liberating thing in the world. Then you can go around making mistakes and saying the wrong thing and tripping over on the street and all that and not feel worried.” – Paloma Faith

“A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.” – George Bernard Shaw

“Experience is making mistakes and learning from them.” – Bill Ackman

“We all make mistakes, have struggles, and even regret things in our past. But you are not your mistakes, you are not your struggles, and you are here NOW with the power to shape your day and your future.” – Steve Maraboli

“Failure is good. It’s fertilizer. Everything I’ve learned about coaching, I’ve learned from making mistakes.” – Rick Pitino

“If you have the guts to keep making mistakes, your wisdom and intelligence leap forward with huge momentum.” – Holly Near

“Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.” – Mahatma Gandhi

“Of course I make mistakes. I’m human. If I didn’t make mistakes, I’d never learn. You can only go forward by making mistakes.” – Alexander McQueen

“Making mistakes is a lot better than not doing anything.” – Billie Joe Armstrong

“When you find your path, you must not be afraid. You need to have sufficient courage to make mistakes. Disappointment, defeat, and despair are the tools God uses to show us the way.” – Paulo Coelho

“Have no fear of perfection – you’ll never reach it.” – Salvador Dalí

“We learn from failure, not from success!” – Bram Stoker

“It is important that we forgive ourselves for making mistakes. We need to learn from our errors and move on.” – Steve Maraboli

If you get stressed out when things don’t go the way you want them to, you need to ask yourself if it will still be a concern a few years down the road. It’s not likely that you’ll even remember it, so try to keep that in perspective next time you make a mistake. When you don’t sweat it, you are more positive, and attract more of the same into you life.

  1. Hi Rajni,
    Love these quotes!
Its great to remember that famous & successful people make mistakes too.
It is not the mistake we make but how we react to it that matters.
    Thank you, Emma.
