Alright, Alright, Alright

Day 202

“I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought, and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.”

– Gilbert K. Chesterton

This Small Changes, Big Results series wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t talk about the easiest and most effective way to increase joy, abundance, happiness, health, wealth, and anything else you want in your life. Yup, you guessed it, for the last post of this series, I’m going to remind you to give thanks.

Be Grateful. For Everything. All The Time.

On Day 1 of this Positivity 365 Project, I inadvertently started my tradition of ending each post with my now somewhat-famous-in-a-non-famous-kind-of-way closing line of ‘thank you, thank you, thank you.’ I had already been practicing daily gratitude long before I started this blog, and that day when I ended my first post by thanking the Universe for all the goodness in my life, it stuck. It became my way of silently and publicly thanking the Universe for all the goodness and wonder in my life, and another way to count my blessings.

“Gratitude bestows reverence, allowing us to encounter everyday epiphanies, those transcendent moments of awe that change forever how we experience life and the world.”

– John Milton

And you can bet that when I give my first Oscar acceptance speech, I’ll be opening with that line, Matthew McConaughey style. #somuchgratitude #loveMatthew

In the meantime…

We are all taught to be grateful at a young age; we are taught to be thankful for what we have, and to count our blessings, but most of us aren’t taught just how critical gratitude is to attracting more to be grateful for into our lives.

“Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.”

– Zig Ziglar

When you’re actively being grateful, you focus on the positive and send out corresponding vibes. Make it part of your routine. Start each day by being grateful for something in your life, whether it’s the weather, your cat, your spouse, the clean water you have to drink, or the roof over your head, it doesn’t matter what it is, everything in your life is a blessing, so start there!

You can turn around a “bad” situation with this practice, and if you want to implement more ways to express your thanks, go back and look at my Positivity Manifestation Tools series and review the other gratitude practices I’ve shared.

Take the time to appreciate all that you have, it will change your life in ways you can’t imagine. Don’t forget these magic words, they lead to happiness.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
