Run For The Border

Day 229

“In all of living, have much fun and laughter. Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.”

– Gordon B. Hinckley

I woke up this morning with the memory of a grade-school project I did on the Olympics – I’m sure it came up because I’m a bit obsessed with the games this year, in case you didn’t notice. 😉

You might be thinking, enough with the Olympics-themed posts already. I was thinking that too, but then I thought this special event only happens for two weeks every four years, so I’m just gonna go with it, there’s only a few days left and I want to capture all the glory I can.

This post is keeping with the theme of having the support of loved ones, but it’s mostly just for the fun of it, because sometimes you just need to let go and have a good time. That, and I finally get to highlight a fellow Canadian. Olympian Brianne Theissen-Eaton is a track and field athlete, who won the bronze medal for the women’s heptathlon in Rio this week. Brianne is married to U.S. Olympian decathlete Ashton Eatonwho is also competing at the Rio Games.

Update: On August 18th, Ashton Easton won the gold medal in the men’s decathlon at the 2016 Rio Summer Games, defending his Olympic title, and is one of the few men in Olympic history to have won multiple gold medals in the event, and twice earn the title of “World’s Greatest Athlete.”

This power couple is featured in several Visa ads for the 2016 Olympics – this one always makes me chuckle.

It doesn’t really matter who comes first in love; love knows no bounds, and can even withstand a little friendly competition. Always believe that anything is possible, and do all you can to live the life you want, but never stop having fun while you’re doing it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
