Day 301
“Things are not always what they seem; the first appearance deceives many; the intelligence of a few perceives what has been carefully hidden.”
– Phaedrus
Today has been a pretty awesome day.
Neville Goddard, my law of attraction guru, often wrote that things manifest in the most natural, organic manner; in a way that is so subtle that you don’t even realize that your reality has anything to do with having wished for your desire at some point prior to its physical manifestation.
Synchronicity Snippet: Yesterday, I told a friend I had a certain number of followers, but I actually had one less. Today, I’m up by three and counting!
I was a bit bummed that I found out about the daily prompt so late in the game – I learned about it just a couple of weeks ago, 286 days into my daily blogging life, and it’s been amazing – not only has it increased my site traffic, it’s brought more exposure to my blog; made me aware of a lot of other really awesome blogs out there, introduced me to people I have things in common with, and possibly initiated some new friendships.
Synchronicity Snippet: The smoke prompt made me think of my dad; who smoked a pipe. I came across a blogger I seem to have a lot in common with, who wrote about the loss of a father today.
I wished that I had known about the daily prompt earlier. There’s nothing I could do about it though – I can’t go back in time, right?
But…
Who said you can’t go back in time?
Neville certainly thinks you can revise the past.
I notice that some people have a post written minutes after the daily prompt comes out and I think how the heck do they do that – it takes me some time to write a post, sometimes I can whip it out pretty quickly, but not in minutes.
Yesterday, a fellow blogger and I struck up a conversation, and I noticed that she had linked a few daily prompts to one post. Ahh. Ok. I thought you had to write a new post for each prompt.
When I saw today’s word prompt, smoke, the first thing I thought of was cigarettes, even though I haven’t smoked in ten years.
Synchronicity Snippet: Yesterday, I thought of writing about how I went from a 20-year, pack-a-day smoker to a non-smoker instantly because the author suggested it. Here’s the book.
My next thought was smoke and mirrors. And then something clicked in my head, and I realized that the “prompt’s job is to help stoke your creative fires” – it’s just a suggestion, I don’t have to use the actual word. I have a few posts from the past that are about illusion; smoke and mirrors. I can link those to today’s prompt.
My wish to have known about the daily prompt sooner is manifest.
So subtle. Hmm.
It’s all smoke and mirrors.
It really is all illusion, this world we live in. It’s a playground for our Divine Selves to experience all the joys of a material world. Want to change “the past?” Go ahead, make your wish. Don’t be fooled by silly things like time and space…things are not always what they seem.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
