The 80 / 20 Rule

Day 306

“Much more surprising things can happen to anyone who, when a disagreeable or discouraged thought comes into his mind, just has the sense to remember in time and push it out by putting in an agreeable, determinedly courageous one. Two things cannot be in one place.”

– Frances Hodgson Burnett

If you tried to access my blog between 8pm – 9pm EST tonight, you would’ve gotten a message that my blog was suspended. Suspended. Because I violated the terms of service agreement.

What??

I. Did. Not.

You may recall that a few days ago, I got the idea to share older posts with the daily prompt because I copied an idea another blogger had. There was nothing in the rules to the contrary, in fact, the rules basically said “there are no rules.” So, you can imagine my utter shock and panic at finding out that I had inadvertently broken the rules by linking more than one post to the daily prompt. I only have two months left of this positivity project, please Universe, don’t let it get messed up now.

In the past, something like this would’ve sent me into full-on-panic-mode. Instead, I tried to stay mindful of the fact that the Universe will give me more of whatever feeling I’m vibrating. So, I kept calm, re-centered my thoughts and set an intention that this issue would be resolved within an hour.

check-markQuote Of The Day: Inspiring Words by Janice Trachtman

I must admit, I did feel a bit of panic – what would I do if the Universe didn’t respond? After all, I didn’t believe without a shadow of a doubt that the Universe would respond, at least not so quickly. However, I made a concerted effort to disregard the small amount of panic and fear I was feeling with my current situation, and tried to focus on the fact that I have complete faith that the Universe takes care of me  – I would say I felt about 80% faith, 20% fear.

I let go of the situation as much as I could, and tried to carry on with my evening as if nothing was wrong. I had dinner, and focused on other things. Almost exactly an hour from the minute I received the notification that my site had been suspended, I received a notification that it had been removed, and that they were sorry for the error, and any inconvenience it may have caused.

Thank you, Universe!

This experience taught me that even if you don’t have complete faith in having received your desire – if you mostly believe, the Universe will respond to your dominant feeling.

I didn’t let the fear / panic take over as I have done in the past, and I saw the miraculous proof in a very short period of time; in my intended time.

When you are faced with undesirable circumstances that you seemingly have no control over, do not believe that there’s nothing you can do. There’s always something you can do:

You can refuse to accept the circumstances of that which you do not desire.

You are all powerful. Your thoughts create your reality. Do not let temporary circumstances make you believe any different.

When a disagreeable or discouraged thought comes to mind, let’s have the sense to remember in time, and push it out by putting in an agreeable, determinedly courageous thought instead, ok?

“If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought.”

– Peace Pilgrim

Let’s rock out the rest of this year manifesting our desires together, shall we?

Thank you thank you, thank you!
