Remake The World

Day 322

“In my more awakened moments, I try to remember that everything that comes my way is potentially my teacher. Everything is an opportunity to go against my tired habits and practice something new.”

– Josh Radnor

I came across this video of a dog crowding a cat in the backseat of a car. I found it fascinating to watch how the cat didn’t lose her composure. She didn’t get riled up with the dog jumping all over her, instead, she leaned into it, and let the dog do his thing, yet she held her ground. Take a look:

I thought the video was a great metaphor for how to deal with the bumps along the road of life. It got me thinking about how everything we experience, whether we perceive it as “good” or “bad,” helps us move towards a fuller understanding of ourselves, and with that understanding comes a greater sense of inner peace.

Quote Of The Day: Inspiring Words by Rajni Kurichh

When we are confronted with unwanted situations, we have the opportunity to practice being the best version of ourselves – we can choose to stay centered, to reach for a better thought, to remain unaffected by others’ opinions, beliefs and actions. We can use those situations as opportunities to lead by example – to show others that when you focus on being the best version of yourself, your surroundings, no matter how adverse, lose their power to affect you.

“Life’s challenges are not supposed to paralyze you, they’re supposed to help you discover who you are.”

– Bernice Johnson Reagon
