Outside The Lines

Day 328

“Many times what we perceive as an error or failure is actually a gift. And eventually we find that lessons learned from that discouraging experience prove to be of great worth.”

– Richelle E. Goodrich

On Monday morning, I received several messages from multiple sources all telling me the same thing. When that happens, it’s a sure sign that I need to pay attention to the message the Universe is trying to communicate to me because it’s a universal message that I’m meant to share:

Every step and misstep on our journey is a right step towards our goals.

In perfect synchronicity, one of those messages was from a friend who “coincidentally” sent me a short animated film. As I’ve said many times, there are no coincidences. In keeping with my own experience that day, the film is about getting back up when you fall, and having the courage to keep moving forward.

The film is about a young sandpiper who learns to make his way in the world, overcoming obstacles as he discovers how things work. Director Alan Barillaro elaborates on what the film is about: “This is a story about conquering and overcoming your personal fears…this is a tale of how to grow up in a world that seems so large and intimidating with the courage to get past those fears.”

Take a look at Pixar’s delightful short animation, Piper:

The more you flex your “I am not afraid to be myself” muscle, the more you come into your own skin and awaken to Who You Really Are.

You can’t always anticipate what challenges lie ahead, but you can take solace in the fact that whatever they are, they are actually there to help you move to the next step in your journey, and like our sweet little friend Piper, you already have everything you need to overcome them inside.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
