One Of A Kind

Finding your place in the world is probably one of the hardest things to do. It’s the journey; one that continues to evolve as we do. As we experience the various stages and seasons of our lives, we get closer to living our purpose, and the stuff – the good, the bad and the ugly, are necessary steps along the way to our destination. Like I’ve said before, nothing we do is wasted.

Sometimes, figuring out what you love to do can be a conundrum. The best way to figure it out is to expose yourself to as many different things as you can – read about everything, learn something new from everyone you meet, try new things and eventually you’ll find your authentic voice. Don’t limit yourself by following someone else’s path or vision, take the time to find out what makes you truly you.

Aside from the fact that when you love what you do, you are always happy, and you lead a fulfilled life, which is more than enough – it’s the end goal for most of us, you attract more good into you life. You attract more things that bring you joy; that express Who You Really Are; that leave your indelible soulprint on the world.

I’ve had a few careers in my life so far, and I know of a couple more that I intend to pursue. I also know that as I continue to grow and learn and become more me, I’ll continue to discover new passions.

The one common thread in all my pursuits is that they drive me, motivate me, and bring out the best in me. Like I’ve said throughout this year of blogging my journey in positivity, I often can’t contain my thoughts and ideas; I frequently wake up in the middle of the night and start writing because the ideas keep coming, seemingly out-of-nowhwere. That’s what happens when you live your passion – it flows.

Like the saying goes: Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive. Are you ready to come alive?
