Seeds of Positivity

Day 102

“It is only the farmer who faithfully plants seeds in the Spring, who reaps a harvest in the Autumn.”

– B. C. Forbes

I love the change of seasons, there’s a whole new vibe in the air. Spring is especially exciting because it’s the time to plant new seeds and wait in excited anticipation for them to blossom. That’s how the law of attraction works – you plant your seeds, and have faith that they will harvest. That’s what I’ve been doing with my positivity project. I’ve been focused on trying to be positive for over 100 days now, not always successfully, but I’ve definitely planted the seeds. Not-so-coincidentally, I had a major break-through this week.

Even when you know something intellectually, until an idea resonates within you, you don’t really get it. It’s when you “get it“, that you can begin to manifest your desires. That’s true when it comes to body image. Most people agree conceptually with the idea that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, but we are all in a bit of conflict between what we know to be true and correct versus what we are conditioned to strive for. Right now, there is a big spotlight in the media on beauty coming in different forms, and most people agree in theory, but then the same people who say “go out and wear a bikini” will turn around in the next breath and say something about their own “big fat ass”, me included.

We have the ability to change our conditioned thinking through visualization, affirmations and a change in our conscious thoughts.

When you focus on the good, and plant the seeds of positivity, they will mature into the autumn harvest of new beliefs, and ultimately the manifestation of your desires.

I experienced that change in my thinking this week. While I was out running errands, for the first time in a long time, I felt completely empowered and comfortable in my own skin. My own words in the Love Your Body post were the cathartic balm I needed to shift my own thoughts about my body. Even though I knew it intellectually before, I didn’t feel it inside.

This acceptance is the catalyst for change – it is necessary to manifest anything you want. If you’re going through a difficult time, or just looking for inspiration to make a change in your life, and you’re hearing and reading my words, or any other words of support and encouragement, but they just aren’t clicking enough to make you act on it yet, don’t worry, you’re in good company. Keep reading, keep listening, keep believing, keep trying. You are planting the seeds of your beautiful future, and one day, they will “harvest” and you’ll begin to see a whole new world, like when the seasons change.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
