“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right.”
– Henry Ford
Yesterday’s post about using visualization as a tool to manifest your desires got me thinking about writing a few more refresher posts about the Law of Attraction basics. How and what you think is at the base of all creation, so that’s what today’s reminder is.
I started a new book today, and within the first couple of pages, the author used the expression shiver me timbers. It reminded me that I had used the same expression in one of my early posts, and interestingly, until I used it, I had never heard of this expression before. I thought about going back through my older posts to find which one I wrote it in, and what the context was, but then I started doing something else and forgot all about it.
Of course, it’s relevant for this post about how our thoughts create our reality because for this post, I wanted to reference the post where I had outlined the Law of Attraction steps, and as it turns out, it’s the same post that I used the expression shiver me timbers in. Synchronicity. Our thoughts always attract like experiences, even the small things.
Bruno Mars‘ journey to success is a good illustration of how your thoughts create your world. Bruno was dropped by Motown before he got his big break, and that seemingly huge disappointment was a blessing in disguise because that’s when he came to the conclusion that the best way to further his career was by writing and producing hit songs for other musicians, and that’s why he learned how to write music in the first place. I think it’s noteworthy that Bruno co-wrote today’s blog beats right around the time he made it big. The lyrics of this song were the thoughts in his mind as he rose to the success, fame and stardom he has today.
Coincidence? I think not.
Blog Beats: Billionaire by Travie McCoy feat. Bruno Mars
Also not-so-coincidentally, I came across a poem that I thought would be a perfect way to end this post and leave you with some thoughts to create the life you dream of.
If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don’t!
If you’d like to win, but you think you can’t,
It’s almost certain you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost;
For out in the world we find
Success begins with a fellow’s will;
It’s all in the state of mind!
If you think you’re outclassed, you are;
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of yourself
Before you’ll ever win the prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man;
But sooner or later the man who wins
Is the person who thinks he can!
I think you can. I think you can.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
