For-I-Give

Day 342

“It can be hard to forgive and let go but it’s important to remember that harboring the resentment and holding a grudge can hurt you even more. The word “forgive” really means to give something up for YOURSELF – not for them.”

– Jack Canfield

We’ve all heard it. We know it’s true. But it isn’t always easy to do. When someone does something that hurts us, it’s hard to get past it. Even if the heart wants to, the ego protests.

The thing is, when you hold on to past hurts, you bring them into your present and re-create them over and over again, and the only one who relives the moment is you. And then you send out vibrations of pain and hurt, which of course, the Universe responds to in kind. That’s why the experience feels so fresh whenever you recall it,  because when you visualize something with intense feeling, it manifests.

forgiveness-is-freedom

Forgiveness isn’t about the other person. It’s about you. You don’t even need to include the other person in your forgiveness practice. The hurt feelings are within you, and that’s where the forgiveness needs to take place too. When you forgive, you give yourself permission to live in the present, to let go of past hurts, and to use your energy to move towards a life you love.

The good news is that you can use all that creative energy to bring some good into your life instead. You can use your imagination to visualize something that brings you pleasure instead, and relive that moment with the intensity until it manifests!

Like I said, it’s not easy to forgive – that’s why they say it’s Divine. Here are some helpful tips on how to forgive.  Are you ready to let your “Divine” shine?

  1. Woah! This is a biggie dear Rajni – forgiveness. I do however like what you have to say, wise words as always, and I like the new perspective I will now see in my minds eye when I either see, or hear the word forgive again. I will now see FOR-I-GIVE and that is progress.
I will not say more, as it will be part of my Day 7, but thank you…and bless you 💕🙏🏼 X

  2. My forgiveness is needed for an organisation, not a person.
I am willing to forgive my workplace for the resentments I’m holding right now.
I may not have full time work for next year, but I have many possibilities.

Yes it is good to remember we all need to forgive each other and ourselves. I am older and realize that forgiving and forgetting keeps my moods light and my health in tact.
