Day 30
“Dance like no one is watching. Sing like no one is listening. Love like you’ve never been hurt. And live like it’s heaven on Earth.”
– Mark Twain
I watched an episode of Lip Sync Battle yesterday between siblings Julianne and Derek Hough. If you don’t watch Dancing with the Stars, you may not know them. They are both professional dancers, and pretty amazing at it. Julianne is now a judge on DWTS, and Derek is always the one to beat – I want Derek to be my partner when I compete on the show.
Julianne did her lip sync to Meghan Trainor’s All About That Bass.
It’s a fun song about owning your curves, no matter what size you are. Meghan came out and joined Julianne in her lip sync – it was a fun, flirty performance, and you couldn’t help but feel happy watching them having such a great time. It inspired me to share a message about having fun and embracing your own beauty.
I believe that we come here to experience a physical expression of our spiritual form; to feel what we already know on a conceptual level as divine beings. As such, I believe there is no good or bad, just experience.
As I was writing this post, I got a call from sister #5. She asked me a question that was, of course, in synchronicity with the thoughts I was writing about at that moment. She asked if I still drank wine since I was embracing a vegan lifestyle. I told her that I believe that we are here to have fun and enjoy life in every way; that I had chosen veganism because I believe that we can live a full and rich life without harming animals, but that doesn’t mean that I intend to deprive myself of all the pleasures that life has to offer.
I believe that as long as you’re not hurting anyone or anything, it’s ok to experience joy through all of your senses; it’s ok to enjoy the way you look, it is part of your physical expression, and it should be celebrated. It’s ok to enjoy all the material abundance you have a divine birthright to; there is no greatness in deprivation. Your spirit will shine brighter when you embrace all that you are meant to be.
So, go out and have fun. Laugh. Love the way you look. Live like it’s heaven on Earth. Because it is.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
