Day 183
“To see and live from a higher context, we must begin to see that change is not threatening, it just is. It is the movement of Life around the constant and permanent presence of our Higher Self, our God Within. It is seeing and living from the perspective that everything is perfect and was created in love to lead us back to our Source, regardless of appearances.”
– Peter Santos
I saw the movie Frequency recently. If you’re not familiar with the film, it’s about a father and son who are somehow able to connect and speak with each other through a radio 30 years after the father died, and together, they are able to change history. The movie got me thinking:
What if we could speak to our past or future selves and change our stories?
Of course, that thought led to the fact that time and space are an illusion of this world, and in reality everything already exists in this moment. So, that explains how you could speak to your future self as well as your past self.
Let’s think about going back first, since we think in linear time, and we can relate to this idea better. If you could talk to your past self, what would you say? Was there a pivotal moment that changed everything? Is there a particular event, circumstance, thought, feeling, belief, decision that you would change? Why?
Now think about all the things that you wouldn’t have experienced if everything had changed after that point? Would you still change it? Chances are there are many blessings that you wouldn’t want to give back. Maybe you wouldn’t want to change all of your history, maybe you just want to heal the pain associated with a particular situation. You can use the pruning shears of revision to heal the past by simply visualizing the scenario in your mind, and then replaying the scene the way you wanted it to be, and feel the new outcome as if it were your reality. It will move into your future and heal what needs healing.
Now let’s think about your future self. If you could go forward and imagine your dream life at some point down the line, what would you tell your future self? Would you tell yourself not worry about your current circumstances because you know it worked out ok? Maybe you would warn yourself to take better care of your health, or spend more time doing what you love?
Think about it.
Now go ahead and imagine your dream life, and go into the future and tell yourself how great it is. Believe it. Feel it. Visualize it. You can write your own script. It’s already within you.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
