“Be yourself, do your thing, and keep doing it. You will reach your destination. Just don’t forget where you set out to go in the first place.”
– Rajni Kurichh
No matter how well you know how the law of attraction works, from time to time, you need reminders. To remember that your thoughts are constantly creating your reality. To remember that the law of attraction applies to everything, not just when you feel like using it. To remember the law is at work even when you’re not trying to consciously create. And, to remember what your desires are, and to keep consciously feeling like you have already received them.
We get busy in our day-to-day lives and don’t have time to focus our thoughts on what we really want, or we forget what we really want, and just live the day-to-day. I’ve been writing about following your passion and consciously creating the life of your dreams for the last 46 days, but somewhere along the way, I got too busy to focus on the visualization practice to consciously create the life I want to live. I am passionate about writing, and I believe that this passion will lead to greater things, but if I do not focus my thoughts and energy on my goals and dreams, they will not manifest.
When I was a young adult, just starting my career and trying to figure out how to navigate my way, I would get sidetracked from my goals with trivial things along the way. My dad would remind me that “to achieve your aim, focus on the sparrow’s eye, like Arjun and don’t get distracted by anything else.” Arjun was a master at archery, and instrumental in fighting the great war on the side of good in the epic Indian tale, Mahabharata. He practiced his skill with a sparrow drawn on a wooden target, and he hit his target every time, because he couldn’t see anything but the sparrow’s eye.
That’s the kind of burning desire and focus that is needed to consciously manifest your desires. If you want something to happen, but you do not act, by feeling and believing you have received, it is nothing more than a day dream and will not manifest. In order to manifest your desires, you must not get distracted by anything else.
I am going to dust off the list of my top 10 desires in my mind, and begin to live in the feeling of having already received that which I desire. I will share those thoughts with you as they unfold.
Can you see your sparrow’s eye?
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
