The Universe Speaks

Day 152

Today marks the completion of the 5th month of my Positivity 365 project. Although May has had some ups and downs, I am certain that the Universe is working with me, for me, and that everything is working just as it should to manifest my desires. How do I know? Remember the message from the Universe that I mentioned in my post at the beginning of this Positivity Manifestation Tools series? The message left no room for doubt in my mind that I am exactly where I need to be, and heading to where I want to go.

Almost as often as I experience synchronicity – which is a lot, I comment that there are no coincidences and that everything happens for a reason. There is growing acceptance that there are “signs” around us that are here to guide us. If you ever saw the movie Fools Rush In, you remember how much importance Salma Hayek’s character placed on them.

I have been aware that “coincidences” are in fact whispers from the Universe for some time now, and I pay attention when I experience synchronicities for that reason. What I experienced a couple of days ago was more like a neon sign screaming at me, rather than a whisper meant to nudge me.

You see, I’ve been thinking about what the next step in my journey is to manifest the life of my dreams – it’s something I’ve left in the air for a while now, and I need to make a decision on the direction I want to take. Lately, I’ve also been thinking that I need to have more fun, and loosen up. I’m a creature of habit, and I do things the way I do them – I think I need to go with the flow more.

A few days ago, for no apparent reason, I broke my routine and went to the salon the day before my scheduled appointment. This meant that not only would I not get my regular stylist, but I would have to wait on a first-come-first-serve basis. I could have kept my appointment, and at the time, I had no idea what made me go the day before. Now I know that the Universe had a reason for it.

As I was waiting for my turn, I struck up a conversation with two women sitting next to me. One of them looked so much like a friend of mine that I almost thought it was her for second. She was dressed in a similar fashion, her hair, makeup, mannerisms, everything was identical. Even her voice sounded the same. Of course, I knew it wasn’t her, and the friend I was thinking of lives in a different city, far away.

Back to the waiting area – we got onto the topic of a beauty treatment that I had gotten years ago, and I shared my experience with them. Then my turn came and I left the waiting room. When I was leaving, one of the women was still waiting, and flagged me to come over to give her some more details on where I had gotten the treatment. I told her that I had gotten the treatment in a completely different city, on the other side of the country, but gave her some helpful tips on how to find the right place locally, and then I left.

Just as I got into my car, the second woman caught up to me and asked the name of the place I had gotten the treatment done – she had overheard me telling the first woman where I got it done. I asked her if she was from that place. She said she had family there and visited often, as a matter of fact, she was headed there tomorrow. Coincidence.

I couldn’t remember the name of the place, and said I’d text her once I got home and could look it up. She gave me her phone number, and as I input it into my phone, I asked her name. She began to spell her name, and half way through, I cut her off because SHE HAD THE SAME NAME AS MY FRIEND that she reminded me of. I pulled up a picture of my friend to show her, and she too was shocked at their similarity. This is the Universe speaking.

That’s enough of a “coincidence” on it’s own, and I was certainly aware that there was something to this sequence of events, but I’m not sure I would have know what it meant if that was where this story ended.

Fast forward to the next morning. I logged on to Facebook, which I don’t usually do on the weekend, and the first thing I saw in my news feed was that my friend of the same name as her doppelgänger that I met the night before was on a flight to the city where I am. Now the Universe is talking pretty loud.

I sent my friend a text message letting her know that I was also in town, and that we must meet up. Mind you, this is not a town that either of us have any connection to, so it’s another reason for my antennae to stand up.

We spent the next afternoon together, and realized that I learned of the very treatment that I was telling the women in the salon about the last time we saw each other several years ago, from a mutual friend who was with us that day. The Universe is really high pitched now.

Through the course of the afternoon, we caught up on our lives and then out-of-the-blue, unrelated to anything I said, my friend randomly shared some insights that spoke directly to the decision I’ve been putting off. She also made the keen observation that I needed to take time out to enjoy myself and let loose.

What she said was in perfect synchronicity with my situation – one that she wasn’t even aware of. It was as though the words came directly from Divine Source, and she was the medium chosen to offer me the guidance I needed to take the next step in my journey. This is the Universe screaming!

Mind blown.

As a result of that experience, I did loosen up and add a lot more fun to my day and my routine, by changing it to include more fun. Amazing how that works! So that’s why I didn’t write all weekend, I was too busy having fun! By the time the weekend was over, I knew I had a pile of catching up to do, and the idea of sharing manifestation tools came out of nowhere – that made it easy for me to catch up because I didn’t have to think too much, I just wrote what I practice. And that gets the story to this post.

As I was writing the previous post, I did a search on my site to find the posts where I had written about EFT Tapping and Feed The Wolf came up in the search results although the post has no mention of EFT Tapping, but the word “tapping” was in the post in a different context. As I read Feed The Wolf, I realized that it too was a post all about signs from the Universe, and a reminder to go with the flow. Lights flashing in my head.

What was even more awesome was that I had written my thoughts as they came to me that day, on March 1st – exactly 2 months ago, which couldn’t be a more fitting end to this series, or to what I am feeling and experiencing right now. This is what I wrote in Feed The Wolf:

Listen to your thoughts.
Act on those great ideas you have, they are Divine inspiration given to you directly by our Creator.
Act.
Act fast. Don’t wait until you talk yourself out of it. Don’t doubt yourself. Don’t let anyone else talk you out of it.
Have faith that once you act, the Universe will conspire to make it happen.
Have faith.
Let go.
Let go and let it flow.
Let God.
Live in a mental state of abundance, always.
See the signs. The Universe is always communicating with you through pictures – within and around you.
When things don’t go your way, Surrender.
Accept the block and go with the flow. It may take you to a better place than you could have imagined.
Follow you passion, it’s food for your soul.
Dream. Dream big. And believe it can happen.
Feed light and hope.
Feed the right wolf.

I was in a rush to write all six posts because I wanted to be up-to-date for this 5th month post. I ended up taking my own advice, and letting this post sit overnight because the words weren’t flowing, I also wanted a blog beats for this post but couldn’t think of an appropriate song. I woke up this morning with the right words, and the song came out of nowhere into my head too. Thank you Universe.

The Universe has spoken. It’s full steam ahead for me – I am going to act on this unmistakable message I have received.
