“I have always felt that laughter in the face of reality is probably the finest sound there is and will last until the day when the game is called on account of darkness. In this world, a good time to laugh is any time you can.”
– Linda Ellerbee
It’s day 340. That just hit me. Whoa. This is my three-hundred and fortieth day of daily positivity and blogging! Well, shiver me timbers and call me woody! I just love that expression, it’s so fun! And that’s what today is all about – fun and laughter.
We often get caught up in the serious business of living and forget that life is meant to be enjoyed. We’re here to have fun; to experience joy and laughter, rather than to stress out and worry – I’m sure you’ve notice that when you do take a break from the heavy stuff to have some fun and laugh a bit, your troubles always seem to vanish. That’s because laughter changes our energetic vibration to a positive frequency, so we feel better about ourselves and the world around us.
When you laugh, no other thought comes to mind.
Think about that for a second. That’s pretty powerful stuff. If you’ve ever tried to meditate, you know that thoughts are on auto-pilot, and finding the control switch can be challenging, to say the least. So, laughter is actually a form of meditation.
Laughter has healing power. It can heal a broken heart, repair a damaged relationship, improve general health and wellness, and can even help cancer patients in the overall healing process when used in addition to conventional cancer treatments.
“I have not seen anyone dying of laughter, but I know millions who are dying because they are not laughing.”
– Dr. Madan Kataria
Laughter is also a necessary ingredient in achieving your goals and manifesting your dreams. When you can laugh at obstacles and adversity, you tune into joy, and joy trumps obstacles. In fact, joy simply flattens them like a bulldozer clearing a path…straight to your dream life!
“There is little success where there is little laughter.”
– Andrew Carnegie
